Polyethylene polymer escape pipe
The gradual development of highway tunnel engineering has put higher and higher requirements on tunnel engineering construction technology, especially for extra-long tunnels. The construction of these tunnels has technical difficulties such as thick cover, complex geological conditions and poor construction conditions. In addition, in tunnel engineering, it is imperative to ensure the safety of construction workers. After years of development, there are better solutions to tunnel collapse. If the time of tunnel collapse cannot be controlled during tunnel construction, the danger to construction workers can be reduced to a minimum!
Compare the material of polyethylene polymer escape pipes with steel pipes and fiberglass materials:
- Polyethylene polymer escape pipe is a linear structure thermoplastic engineering plastic made of polyethylene and butadiene monomers combined under the action of a catalyst. The specification of the new lightweight escape pipe produced by our company is φ800*30mm , the length of each section is 3 meters, and the weight per meter is 69.7 kg (the weight of the steel pipe is 210 kg per meter).
- Steel pipe material, steel escape pipe, steel pipe transportation cost is relatively high, time-consuming, easy to deform, corrosion resistance, wear resistance is relatively poor, it is not recommended to use, steel escape pipe specifications: φ820*10mm, φ 1020*10mm, φ 1120*10mm .
- Made of fiberglass, specification630*14mm. Since the price/performance ratio is not as good as the above two, polyethylene high molecular weight polyethylene escape pipes are commonly used on the market.
Each batch of our company’s polyethylene tunnel escape pipes has been inspected and verified by the internal quality control agency and is qualified before leaving the factory. Escape pipes have long been supplied to railways, highways, subways, mines and other multi-tunnel construction projects. Their good quality and excellent services have been well received by customers.
Material and setting requirements for escape pipes :
According to the results of repeated experiments and relevant theoretical data, it is concluded that the size of the tunnel escape pipe is not easy to be too small. If it is too small, the escape pipe will be easily damaged during a collapse. If the size is too large, it will increase the cost and be detrimental to transportation during construction. Based on the research results, the size of the tunnel escape pipe is set to have an outer diameter of 800mm and a wall thickness of 30mm .
Polyethylene polymer escape pipes of φ 800*30 and φ 860*30 can be used in tunnels . The length of the pipe sections is determined according to the site conditions . Pipe sections of 3m or 6m length can be used with a wall thickness of 30mm . The diameter between pipe sections can be larger than The diameter of the escape pipe shall be connected with a metal hoop with holes or bolts shall be used to temporarily fix it. In order to ensure that the pipeline can withstand the pressure of the collapsed body, the pressure-bearing capacity of the pipe materials used and the firmness of the joints must be ensured, and only after specific testing in the laboratory can it be used in the tunnel. The construction site should prepare sufficient pipelines and connecting materials according to the surrounding rock of the tunnel, excavation methods, etc. In addition to the whole section of pipeline, sufficient 1 -meter, 2- meter, and 3- meter short-section pipes and adapter joints should be prepared at the same time.
